Black Sectional Sofas

Black sectional sofa in soft corduroy. L-shaped, modular and unfolds into a bed, with machine washable covers.

Rearrange it whenever you like

The mattresses connect with Velcro, so one person can take the black sectional apart and rebuild it as an L-shaped corner sofa, a straight couch or a square. Add the Chair, Corner Chair or Ottoman later, in black or a contrast colour.

Unfolds into a bed

Unfold the black sectional and the mattresses lie flat as one large sleeping surface. It's a black sofa bed for guests and a floor lounge the rest of the time.

Washable covers

Every cover unzips and machine washes at 30 degrees, zipped and inside out. Black hides everyday marks, and second covers are sold separately in all 26 colours if you ever want a change.

Matching pillows

Black works as a backdrop, so the pillows are where the colour goes. For a calm living room, pair a black sectional with Cream white and Sand. For contrast, go black and white with Cream white and Zebra Smoke. For warmth, add Rust or Mustard. Or keep it tone on tone with Charcoal and Black pillows.

Shades of black

Black

The deepest option and the true black couch. Black grounds a living room and makes everything around it look sharper. Pair it with white walls, light oak, and cream or black and white sofa pillows for contrast.

Charcoal

A dark grey that reads almost black in the evening and softer in daylight. Charcoal is the forgiving choice for homes with pets or kids, since it shows less lint and dust than pure black.

Slate

A cool dark neutral with a blue-grey edge. Slate suits Scandinavian rooms with concrete, steel or pale wood, and feels lighter than a black sofa on a big L-shaped corner.

FAQ

What is the difference between a sectional and a corner sofa?

Nothing. Sectional sofa is the usual term in the US, corner sofa in Europe. Both mean an L-shaped sofa that fits a corner.

Is a black sectional left-hand or right-hand?

Neither. The TEDDY corner is reversible, so it works whichever way your room runs.

Does the black sectional turn into a bed?

Yes. Unfold it and the mattresses lie flat as a large sleeping surface, joined with Velcro.

How big is it?

300x200 cm, 70 cm high. Seat height 34 cm, seat depth 65 cm, seating area 230x65 cm.

Does a black sofa show dust and pet hair?

Some, like any dark fabric. A lint roller handles it, and the covers wash at 30 degrees. Charcoal shows less if that is a worry.

What colours go with a black sofa in a living room?

White, cream, warm wood and brass are the safe answers. Rust, mustard and emerald pillows are the bold ones.

Can I wash the covers?

Yes. Unzip them and wash at maximum 30 degrees, zipped and inside out. No tumble drying or ironing.

How long does delivery take?

Every sofa is made to order and delivered in 2 to 6 weeks.

Can I add to it later?

Yes. The Chair, Corner Chair and Ottoman come in the same 26 colours, so you can extend in black.

Fabric swatches

Every black sectional sofa is covered in the same corduroy TEDDY weave, 90% polyester and 10% nylon, with a Martindale rub count of 35.000 and light fastness rated 4 to 5, so black stays black in a sunny living room.

Inside is HR foam, T30 density, ILD 45. All mattresses and cushions are OEKO-TEX STANDARD 100 certified. Covers unzip and wash at 30 degrees, and second covers are sold separately in all 26 colours.
