Senior Manager, Strategic Initiatives
OMHU · Copenhagen NV · Full time
Drive commercial projects and turn strategic priorities into results alongside our CEO
OMHU is looking for a commercially minded Senior Manager, Strategic Initiatives to take ownership of important projects across our growing international business.
You will work directly with our CEO on opportunities and challenges spanning commercial strategy, pricing, international growth and the way we operate. You will structure problems, build recommendations and take projects through implementation, working closely with colleagues across Finance, Marketing, Product and Operations.
You will report to our CEO and contribute to relevant leadership meetings and offsites. This is an individual contributor position with responsibility for your own projects and deliverables, supported by close collaboration with the people responsible for each business area.
Who are we looking for?
You bring experience from management consulting, commercial strategy, business development or a similar role in a growing business. You have worked on complex commercial questions and can demonstrate how your work has influenced decisions and delivered results.
You enjoy getting close to the business. You are comfortable analysing the numbers, challenging an assumption, writing a clear recommendation and working through the practical details of making it happen.
You build trust through sound judgement, discretion and reliable delivery. You can work independently, involve the right people and keep projects moving when priorities compete or information is incomplete.
Your key competencies
-
Strong commercial judgement, with an understanding of growth, profitability and the economics behind business decisions.
-
Confident analytical skills, including financial modelling, business cases and working with imperfect data.
-
Experience managing projects across functions, with clear ownership, milestones and measurable outcomes.
-
Clear written and verbal communication, including concise recommendations for senior decision makers.
-
The ability to influence colleagues, challenge constructively and secure progress without formal authority.
-
Strong personal organisation and attention to detail, with consistent follow-through on commitments.
-
Fluent English and confidence working across markets and cultures. International experience is particularly welcome.
-
Experience with pricing, consumer businesses, DTC or e-commerce is an advantage.
What will you do?
Your main focus will be a prioritised portfolio of commercial and strategic projects, agreed with our CEO. Responsibilities will include:
-
Own projects from initial analysis and scoping through to implementation, measurement and handover.
-
Develop commercial recommendations on topics such as pricing, market opportunities, product profitability and international growth.
-
Build business cases that make assumptions, trade-offs and recommended decisions clear.
-
Coordinate delivery across functions, resolve dependencies and raise risks early.
-
Prepare decision material for our CEO and leadership team, and follow up on agreed actions and outcomes.
-
Help translate annual priorities and quarterly goals into practical plans with clear owners, milestones and progress tracking.
-
Prepare and contribute to relevant leadership meetings and offsites, ensuring that decisions become concrete next steps.
-
Drive selected organisational projects with the relevant managers, such as improving onboarding, developing company values or strengthening internal processes.
The project mix will evolve with the business. We will agree a focused set of priorities so you have the time and mandate to deliver them properly.
What do we offer?
-
Ownership of projects with a direct impact on how OMHU grows and operates.
-
Close collaboration with our CEO and exposure to decisions across the business.
-
An international environment with short decision paths, direct feedback and room to take initiative.
-
The opportunity to develop broad commercial and operational experience as the company grows.
-
A fixed salary reflecting your experience, plus a pension scheme with 6% employer and 2% employee contributions.
-
Health insurance, a paid lunch arrangement and social events.
-
Modern tools, including AI, to support analysis, collaboration and execution.
